Rex Romae is pleased to present the premiere exhibition “La Linea,” featuring new works by Alexis Diaz and Jaz, two urban artists both heralded for their unparalleled and distinct techniques.
Alexis Diaz, Puerto Rican artist and muralist renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, line by line, will present several new works on canvas.Diaz’s surreal work incorporates thousands of linear brushstrokes atop sharp bursts of colour to establish remarkably corporeal depictions of zoo animals with human elements.
Jaz, long-time name within the Argentinian graffiti and street art scene, is known for his unique painterly convention to urban art. Linea will display several newworks that explore the “Hooliganism” of football, featuring “lucha libre” style wrestling part-man, part-beast figures locked in combat throughout the city.
A limited edition Screen Print by Alexis Diaz will be available online and at the exhibition.
